HEALTHMAN commenced business in 1996 and since inception has focused exclusively on consulting to private practice. In the High Court, we have assisted in settling many civil disputes, loss of income and malpractice claims. Once, we settled a claim in the amount of R22 million in favour of one of our specialist clients. We also actively assist our clients in forensic reviews against them by medical scheme administrators and participate in the BHF Fraud Management Unit. Our legal support includes a review of new policy documents issued by government, such as National Health Insurance (NHI) and assisting in formulating responses there to. We have also been active in assisting with submission to the Competition Commission Health Market Enquiry.
