With a background in commercial architecture we are aware of what it takes to deliver a product that is marketable and accomplish the commercial objectives it set out to achieve. We also endeavour to continually minimise the environmental impact of our buildings through continual research and by taking advantage of the rapidly advancing technological improvements and new products in the built environment. Mark joined the practice in 2005, he started his architectual studies with a BAS (Bachelor of Architectural Studies) in 2002 at Wits University before receiving his B.Arch(HONS) in 2006 and his M.Arch(PROF) in 2007 at the University of Pretoria. KFPA is an experienced full service Architectural practice; we offer a complete service from brief development and concept design, through to construction drawings and contract management. We have broken down the services into our typical process. The conceptual design and design development is where we differentiate ourselves from other architectural practices. We put a huge effort into developing the original concept design and the presentation to ensure the client properly understands the design. The client is able to experience the project at Conceptual design stage. After the initial concept design we start the iterative design development process. The client is given time to go over the design and to start providing feedback. With extensive experience in construction contract management we add further value to the construction process. As part of our holistic approach to architecture, we offer a full interior design service. This is beneficial to the client as it not only provides a better end product, but also simplifies project management. Transforming existing architectural buildings or working with new structures, our designs strive to create interesting and unique interior spaces that respond to the architectural envelope, while addressing the client’s requirements. From the conceptual design stage to the finishes and fitting out, we have a full time, qualified interior architect on staff to assist in all your interior design requirements. Personnel in managerial levels are accommodated in private offices along the perimeter walls with windows. Personnel in low-managerial or professional levels will be located within open areas with space or storage as separators. Personnel in low managerial, supervisory or professional levels are located in semi-private work stations with standing privacies. Personnel in non-managerial, or secretarial or clerical levels are located in open stations or semi-private stations with seated privacies. The semi-privacies are established through the use of furniture systems that consist of panels to provide visual privacy and some degree of conversational privacy. The first generation of furniture systems are in panel based systems. As time grows and due to need for higher degree of flexibility and change in computer technologies, other systems appeared in the horizon to expand the need for the electronic office. There was a need higher productivities and team work become drivers for productivities. Many find themselves able to work beyond the office or work anywhere.
