Evil Ink is born on the West Rand, the year is 2009 it’s the eve of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, South Africa is buzzing with activity and there is a sense of optimism and pessimism in the air for Africa’s biggest ever showcase, it certainly was an interesting time to be embarking on a new venture. Roger and Lee met during her apprenticeship and after sharing many common interests and both being creative, they decided to take the bold step of entering an industry that was frowned upon at the time and moved to the Eastern Cape in the hope of satisfying their creative needs, they opened their first tattoo studio in Bathurst in In late 2010 it was clear that all three of the artists needed something more creatively conducive not only to tattooing but in general, something that nurtured our creativity, we needed a much more inspiring environment. We now call this amazing place home and are proud to offer our clients tranquility, comfort and competitive pricing due to not being in a commercial establishment.
