We paid a visit to the Emmarentia botanical gardens in Randburg a while back for a fun photography outing. We came across some rather strange and interesting elements, including sticks bound in an eerie cross shape, which we just had to photograph. As a result, after editing and adding dark effects to the photos, we came up with a book cover design concept that would be a perfect fit for a novel set in the thriller or horror genre.
